wow.. long time no talk

well as you've guess a lot has happened since I wrote last but not really anything to write about..
its the biggest season for sports so guess who is an amazing girlfriend and watches football and basketball and even a little baseball.. yes, me! Stephen and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary of dating on Friday. It was perfect! He picked me up with a bouquet of roses and we set off on our date in a hurry to get to our secret reservation (he wouldn't tell me anything) well of course we got stuck in traffic :) we went to a wonderful, amazing, romantic, and delicious restaurant called Tuscany it was all perfect until I sneezed and it broke my zipper.. it was stuck my entire back was showing so I had to wear my coat for the rest of the night. I was so mad, I just bought the dress that day and was so excited to wear it and then I have to cover it all night? not cool! after dinner we went to Walgreen's and picked up their last box of safety pins.. it didn't work it just made it look worse if that was possible so on with the coat. We finally got to our second destination, a parking garage. When we got upstairs we were at the wonderful Capitol theatre to see a ballet! I had never been to one before, we saw "The Dream" which is Shakespeare's Midsummer's night dream.. the dancers looked beautiful it was amazing. The entire night was memorable and more then what I could have hoped for! Stephen is an amazing guy and I am very much in love with him.

how random can life be?

what an odd week...

Monday I cleaned and then went to a photo shoot for my beautiful sister Katie and then lost track of time and Steve had to wait almost an hour for me to pick him up at the airport. Tuesday I got a call from my sister saying they needed more models at an event and they had a couple dresses me and my best friend Desi could wear. It was pretty cool because it was an auction of different things, they had gift baskets, meals at restraunts, and obviously the dresses we wore and all of the money went to teaching illiterate adults. Now I'm not going to lie, I am in no way shape or form a model.. first of all I like my food (I could live off of taco bell) and well I'm not very photogenic but I said I'd do it. Once Desi and I got there my choices of dresses were a sapphire blue grandma of the bride dress, a taupe dress, and a fuschia and purple dress.. well none of them looked good and/ or didn't fit right so I went with the fuschia because it was least horrifying even though my chest didnt really fill it out (kind of uncomfortable when walking around and having people looking at the dress to see if they want it haha) I felt like the girl off Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory, but instead of being blue I was pink and purple, but it was still a fun adventure and I'm glad I went.
last night I took Stephen on a date. We went to Color Me Mine, which is a place you paint ceramics and they fire it for you. If you know Stephen I'm sure you'll never guess what he painted on his plate.. ok you guessed it, a football helmet with a big U on it for the University of Utah. After that we came back to my house and I made almond and parmesean chicken (delicious) it was a fun night!! I am so lucky to be dating someone so awesome!
Unfortunately for him, I took him to the airport today and his flight was cancelled, after waiting on standby and not being able to get out for 6 1/2 hours he finally got out to Atlanta to catch another flight to Nashville and I have no idea how someone could be so unlucky but his flight from Atlanta to Nashville was cancelled. Atlanta is a huge airport and the only flight cancelled today was his flight, how unlucky to cancelled flights in one day. His poor family is waiting for him there because they wanted to see his mission but he should be there by 8 tonight, what a hassle!
I am now off for another night with my bestie, we're getting sushi and then more gossip girl (guilty pleasure)

relax and do nothing...

thats all I did this weekend.. and I LOVED IT!! I think every girl needs that every once in a while! Steve (the most amazing guy ever who I've been dating for over 9 months) is in Houston and so I took the opportunity to get a pedicure and pluck my eye brows ;)
Friday was a hang with Desi and chat day Saturday was... wow its all a blur, did I do ANYTHING that day? oh ya I did errands and then I did nothing haha and yesterday was a chick galore day! Desi and I went to church and then came home watched Love Actually and then I got addicted to the most AMAZING TV show ever!

GOSSIP GIRL! I know, I know.. addiction to a T.V. show about rich kid in New York sounds so ridiculous but I LOVE it! they have the best clothes, and these outrageous parties.. I actually really like the glamour of it all. Desi and I watched about 8 episodes (thats a ton) but it was so fun! girls time is awesome.
Now don't take that the wrong way Steve, I mean I love you and being with you is always awesome but sometimes some TLC from my bestie is all that is needed. I hope you had fun in Houston and I am SO excited to pick you up at the airport tonight and for our date on Wednesday!!

friends...

last summer was filled with laughing, fun, and a little stress ;) getting ready for M&M's wedding (Mike and Maddy's) and starting a new job that I sucked at pretty bad but it was all good things. It probably would have been very painful if I didn't have friendship. Last summer was a riot my best friend Desi and I were crazy, dancing, meeting new friends, and an occasional date with a cute guy (ok they weren't all that cute but whatever)

We had some dang good times... Desi has been a wonderful friend to me, she's stuck with me through all the crappy times and so we've had a lot of really good times too! "Life's journey is easier when you hear a friends footsteps beside you." Desi has kept me sane and I am so thankful for her!! thanks for being an awesome friend..

Even though life changes and things are way different now then they were last summer I hope she knows that I am there for her 100%

starting

I would have to say that the hardest thing for me with doing anything is starting, it is the most frustrating thing ever. It's the reason why I didn't make it through a year of piano lessons or a season of Lacrosse growing up. I use to be a give-upper (not a real word but you get the drift) but that was yesterday. Starting now I am a push forward and hold on for the ride kind of girl... ready.. set... GO!

Let me recap my life in New Hampshire living with my sister and brother in law. , I'll try not to jump around too much, but I probably will (starting now). January I was going back to New Hampshire after my trip home to Sandy, UT. It was me, my amazing sister and her family; Dean (hubby) Ava, Charlotte, and Lilly. We were going through security and I left all my hair products in my carry on bag because I was like the scare crow on "The Wizard Of Oz" singing if I only had a brain duh duh duh dum dum duh duh once the bad and horrible security guard took it all I started bawling and Dean looks at me like "holy crap you're crying because you lost your hair product, WAA!" I feel bad for men because they don't really understand the whole final straw thing. I didn't want to go back to New Hampshire, I loved my friends and my family and hugs from my Mommy and my new puppy Rafiki. In New Hampshire I was alone and felt a lot of burdens. But, I prayed for strength and God helped me for a couple months more and gave me people in my life that helped me push through without crying every day. I think the biggest blessing was my relationship with my amazing sister Katie, and my brother Mike who later moved out there as well.. I learned so much from both of them. Katie is an amazing home maker and would make the most amazing cupcakes and we'd laugh and eat chocolate ice cream and watch chick flicks when Dean was out of town and Mike would come in my room and just talk to me about goals and the future and all that blah blah, but most of all they both just listened and let me try to take care of them in return.

We first got out there in Sept of 07, moving was a joy and there was never any contention but anyone ;) ok well we can pretend. I remember there were no cute boys eligible to flirt with and the Fall was beautiful (I remember more then that but I have to start somewhere!) I finally got involved with a YSA group (young single adults) and I went to a conference at MIT with Elder Holland and went to a dance at Boston's state house. I met a couple friends, one main was Maddy, she was super quiet at first but since I'm so obnoxious she eventually came out of her shell shining! My parents and two brother; Mike and Dan, came out for Thanksgiving and there was a dance at Harvard that we all went to, it was a holiday dance and Mike and Maddy were flirting the entire time (having friend flirt with your brother is weird, but I got over it lickity split) dinner took forever and then the subway was under construction, long story short we were only there for maybe 10 minutes and it was over BUMMER! I had blisters on my feet but it didn't matter because my brother Dan had a new stalker and Mike had Maddy.

Christmas came and we went to Utah to visit, we were here for 3 weeks and when we were leaving was the whole hair spray ordeal at the airport. I enjoyed a lot of things about New Hampshire, I learned so much. I was the primary chorester and I loved singing with those kids, they were the best and I love them! But, when May rolled around it was time to leave, but it was ok Mike stayed there since he kind of had to being engaged to Maddy and all ;) and I ran to the airport as quick as I could.

It was so beautiful!

Dance at Boston's State House

Though I feel like it was the pits sometimes it shaped me into who I am today, of course I am no where NEAR perfect but it made me grow up a bit and see the big picture.
